Building the Norwalk Area Democrats takes more than just a committee—it takes a team of neighbors with diverse skills. Whether you have 2 hours a month or 10, we have a place for you.

The Content Lab (Digital & Creative)

Help us tell the story of Norwalk and Warren County. This is the “voice” of our committee.

  • Content Writers: Help draft “The Norwalk Pulse” blog posts and our monthly email newsletters.
  • Photographers/Videographers: Capture the energy of our local meetings, social outings, and community events.
  • Social Media Mavens: Help us manage our Facebook and Instagram presence to keep our neighbors informed.
  • Graphic Designers: Create clean, impactful graphics for our local issues and event invites.

Field Operations (Traditional Campaigning)

This is where the rubber meets the road. If you like being out in the community and talking to people, this is for you.

  • Precinct Captains: Be the “face of the party” on your block. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for Democratic and Independent neighbors in your specific precinct.
  • Neighbor-to-Neighbor (N2N) Canvassers: Join our listening tours. We don’t just “knock on doors”; we have real conversations with neighbors about the issues that matter to them.
  • Phone & Text Bankers: Help us reach people who can’t make it to in-person events. This is a great role for those who prefer to volunteer from home.
  • Data & Voter File Assistants: (Great for the tech-minded!) Help us keep our voter lists (VAN) updated so we’re reaching the right people with the right message.
  • Poll Watchers & Election Officials: Help protect the vote in Norwalk. We provide the training to ensure our local elections are fair and accessible.

Community & Events

Help us build the “social” side of the Norwalk Area Democrats.

  • Event Planners: Help organize our upcoming Summer Picnic and the No Kings Rally logistics.
  • Social Leads: Love hiking, biking, or local breweries? Lead one of our monthly social outings to help like-minded locals connect.
  • Hospitality Team: Ensure our monthly meetings feel welcoming. Help with check-ins, name tags, and “Newcomer Greeters.”
